The Ritchie Vineyard is one of the Grand Crus of the Russian River Valley and is the source for some of THE best Chardonnays in California. The fruit is highly coveted by winemaking legends Mark Aubert and David Ramey, and Russells Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnayis the most intense of them all. Its a wine with bags of cellaring potential, yet its opulence is going to make it hard to resist opening early on.
Russell Bevan: Our 2019 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is a powerhouse. while we love to drink our Cabernets Sauvignons and red wine blends young, we have always enjoyed our chardonnays with some maturity. Of course, they are yummy when they are young, but they just have so much intensity that they shine even brighter with a little age. With this vintage we have crafted a wine that will draw a crowd, tomorrow and for years to come. Opulent, dynamic, it pulses key lime, pineapple and a kiss of stone fruit. This wine pulls no punches.
