That Boutique-y Whisky Company is back with another bottling of sublime single malt from the English Whisky Co.! This smoky heavily peated nine year old whisky was matured in an Oloroso sherry cask, and bottled up at cask strength a particularly hefty 67% ABV. A few drops of water wouldn’t go amiss with this one. Looks like St. George is still doing battle with that dragon, hoping to get at its treasure, which includes a roast chicken. Presumably dragons like roast chickens.
Batch 4 is a release of 407 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Nose:Charred oak and smoky bacon crisps, balanced by fig rolls and mocha.
Palate:Still has a lot of coffee and chocolate elements to it, with smoky peat bringing a spicy depth to the flavour profile.
Finish:Plum, ginger, and drying spices.
