San Antonio Classic Chianti is a medium-bodied red wine with vibrant acidity and a smooth finish. On the nose, it opens with aromas of red cherry, dried herbs, and subtle earthiness. The palate delivers layered flavors of ripe plum, tart cherry, soft spice, and a hint of leather. A gentle tannic structure supports the wines fruit-forward character, making it approachable and food-friendly.
San Antonio Specialty labels are the historic, original labels of the Riboli Family winery, used on their bottled wines dating to 1917. The labels showcase the artwork of the 16th century cathedral of San Antonio de Padua in northern Italy, home of St Anthony, the patron saint of the familys founder, uncle Santo Cambianica. These wines are produced entirely of California grapes and represent both semi sweet and dry wines. These were the livelihood of the company and along with the sacramental communion wines, were the main wine types produced in the early days of southern California winemaking and grape-growing.
